Resend

Send referral emails through your existing Resend account and domain

By default, Invitebase sends referral emails directly, which requires connecting a custom domain. If you already send product email through Resend, you can use your existing Resend account to manage outbound emails: referral notifications go out through Resend on your already-verified domain, with your sending reputation, and every send is visible in your Resend dashboard alongside the rest of your email.

Connect Resend

Create a Resend API key

In Resend → API Keys, create a key with full access — Invitebase needs permission to send and to register a webhook (next step). Sending-only keys connect but can't set up delivery feedback.

Connect it in the dashboard

In Developer tools → Integrations, choose Connect → Resend and paste the key. Invitebase lists the domains verified in your Resend account — pick the domain and from address referral emails should use (e.g. rewards@mail.example.com). Domains missing from the list need DNS verification in Resend first.

Delivery feedback is wired automatically

On connect, Invitebase registers a webhook in your Resend account for delivery events — email.delivered, email.bounced, email.complained — so bounces and complaints feed the same suppression list as built-in sending, and per-message delivery status shows in the notification log. Nothing to configure on Resend's side; disconnecting removes the webhook.

Send a test

Send test email on the integration panel fires a sample notification through the connection to your own address. The panel flips to Connected on the first successful delivery event.

Environments

Connections are bound to a mode. Test-mode emails only ever go to your org's own addresses regardless of transport, so most teams connect the same Resend account to both modes — but a separate key (or account) per mode works if you want test traffic isolated in Resend too.
