Analytics and charts
The Overview stat cards and the Charts section — referral trends, funnel, K-factor, cost, fraud, and retention
Invitebase analytics follows a two-tier pattern: a lightweight Overview of headline numbers that deep-links into a richer, grouped Charts section. Overview answers "how is the campaign doing right now"; Charts answers "why, and what changed".
Overview stat cards
The Overview page shows six clickable cards, each with a big number, a prior-period delta (▲/▼ % vs the previous window), and a sparkline:
| Card | What it measures |
|---|---|
| Validated referrals (30d) | Referrals that passed qualification gates and fraud checks — the number you are billed on |
| Validation rate | Validated ÷ linked — how many linked signups become real referrals |
| New referrers (30d) | Users who generated their first referral link or share |
| K-factor | Viral coefficient: invites sent per referrer × conversion rate |
| Rewards paid (30d) | Total reward spend across app grants and money rewards |
| Cost per validated referral | Reward spend ÷ validated referrals |
Clicking any card deep-links to its full chart. Below the cards, a live event ticker streams ingested events in real time and a recent-referrals table shows the latest activity — both respecting the test/live toggle.
The Charts section
Charts groups the full analytics suite: Referrals · Funnel · Referrers & Virality · Rewards · Fraud · Retention.
Referrals over time and Validated Movement
The flagship trend chart: linked vs validated referrals as a time series, with a line / bar / stacked-area toggle. Its companion, Validated Movement, renders diverging stacked bars around a zero baseline — newly validated referrals above the line, reversed or clawed-back referrals below — so growth versus leakage is legible at a glance.
Referral funnel
The funnel chart tracks the full journey — link clicks → attributed installs → signups → qualified → validated — with a count and stage-conversion rate at each step, plus the overall click-to-validated rate. Break it down by campaign, platform, or attribution source to find where each channel leaks.
Referrer growth and virality
The growth-engine view:
- New referrers and active referrers over time
- K-factor trend (invites sent per referrer × conversion rate)
- Invites sent per referrer
- Top-referrer concentration — what share of validated referrals comes from your top N referrers
Rewards spend and cost
The unit-economics view: reward spend over time (stacked by reward type, app grants vs money), the cost per validated referral trend, and balance burn — how fast payouts draw down your prefunded balance against your auto-reload threshold.
Fraud
Campaign-quality diagnostics: the fraud decision mix across the window, the approved / rejected rate over time, and a fraud-caught figure — the reward spend blocked before it was paid. This is the read-only analytics view; block lists are managed in the Fraud dashboard.
Retention cohort heatmap
Answers "do referred users stick?" as a cohort heatmap: rows are cohorts by validation (or install) month, columns are subsequent periods (M0, M1, M2…), and cells show % retained, color-graded. Toggle between install and validation cohorts, and segment by campaign, platform, or attribution source.
Filters, ranges, and segmenting
A global controls bar applies to every chart:
- Date-range presets — 7d / 30d / 90d / 12mo / custom, plus natural-language ranges like "last month".
- Granularity — daily / weekly / monthly, or Auto, which picks the right resolution for the selected range.
- Breakdown — segment any chart by campaign, platform, country, or attribution source; breakdowns stack and clear independently.
- Period-over-period comparison — overlay the current window against the prior one with % deltas.
- Test vs live — charts follow the app-wide mode toggle.
Chart state lives in the URL, so any filtered view is shareable — paste the link to a teammate and they see exactly what you see.
Exporting
Every chart exports its underlying series as CSV from the chart's menu, honoring the active date range, granularity, and breakdowns. For programmatic access to the same aggregates, use the analytics endpoints with your secret key.
